About The Position

Acacia (part of Cisco) is a well-known market leader in high-speed coherent optical transceivers, pioneering the development of coherent pluggable transceivers. Acacia’s coherent products are deployed by all hyperscalers to connect their Data Centers over distances from a few kilometers to thousands of kilometers and even in submarine networks. The emergence of AI has drastically increased the demand for Acacia’s coherent transceivers, and our team is focused on the exciting challenge to architect, build, and maintain test automation software using scalable and maintainable methods. As a Test Automation Engineer on our Acacia team, you will be responsible for assuring that Acacia products reliably conform to software and hardware specifications. You’ll have a passion for test automation, working on complex systems, and delivering high-quality best-in-class technology, as well as have the opportunity to: Design and develop test plans, test facilities, and test automation software (C#) Execute tests on new Acacia product software releases Work closely with product developers to resolve issues before delivery to customers Document detailed test results and publish software release notes for customers

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in developing large-scale, efficient, scalable, and easily maintainable test automation software in test environments for client optics modules, or similar environments, using C#, C++, or Python
  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Strong technical background in optical telecommunications, especially in client optics and/or optical coherent subsystems, including industry standards
  • First-hand experience with testing of client optics and/or optical telecommunication systems
  • Experience with bug tracking and reporting tools such as Bugzilla and Jira
  • Ability to lead efforts toward enhancing the testing process
