You will be part of a cross-functional Agile delivery team responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting modern web and cloud-native applications. You will play a dual role as both a software developer and automation engineer, helping teams adopt automation-first practices while contributing directly to application development. You will design and implement automated testing solutions, integrate them into CI/CD pipelines, and leverage GenAI technologies to improve engineering efficiency. You will work closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure quality is built into every stage of the software delivery lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 4- 5 years of experience in software quality engineering, test automation, or software development roles.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing automation frameworks and automated test solutions using TypeScript.
  • Strong experience with one or more open-source test automation frameworks including Playwright, Selenium, or WebdriverIO.
  • Experience developing and maintaining automated UI, API, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
  • Experience contributing to frontend and/or backend application development using modern development frameworks and technologies.
  • Practical experience using GenAI tools in day-to-day engineering activities, including code generation, test generation, debugging, workflow automation, and productivity enhancement.
  • Familiarity with AI concepts including agentic workflows, Model Context Protocol (MCP), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), tool integrations, and LLM-powered solutions.
  • Experience testing and validating cloud-native, distributed, or microservices-based applications.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), software testing lifecycle (STLC), Agile, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with source control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Knowledge of API testing, test data management, mocking, service virtualization, and automation best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Reliability Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience implementing Playwright automation frameworks in enterprise environments.
  • Experience leveraging GenAI capabilities to improve software quality engineering processes.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience working in regulated environments requiring security and compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with performance testing, accessibility testing, and test observability solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using TypeScript and open-source automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, and WebdriverIO.
  • Develop automated functional, regression, integration, API, end-to-end, and cross-browser test suites for enterprise applications.
  • Build reusable automation libraries, utilities, and testing components that improve maintainability and reduce execution time.
  • Contribute to frontend and/or backend application development using modern software engineering practices and coding standards.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and DevOps teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and rapid release cycles.
  • Utilize GenAI tools and technologies to improve development and testing workflows, including test case generation, code generation, defect analysis, documentation creation, and workflow automation.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of AI-enabled solutions including agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), MCP integrations, and developer productivity tools.
  • Develop automated API validation and service testing solutions for distributed and cloud-native applications.
  • Analyze application performance, identify defects, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with engineering teams to implement resolutions.
  • Establish and monitor quality metrics, test coverage, defect trends, and release readiness indicators.
  • Support production validation, post-release testing, and ongoing quality improvements.
  • Ensure automation solutions follow security, accessibility, reliability, and compliance requirements.
  • Mentor team members on test automation best practices, engineering standards, and quality-first development approaches.
