About The Position

The purpose of this role is to develop multi-module test cases and set up test environments while preparing test evidence and validating system functionality. This role involves requirement analysis and documentation, creation of test cases, test data and environment setup, and test execution and result analysis. The Automation Engineer will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using Python, build and execute test suites using pytest or similar frameworks, and integrate AI/LLM-based tools to accelerate test case generation, log analysis, defect triage, or code review. The role requires collaboration with automotive domain teams to understand test requirements, analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and resolve defects. The Automation HIL Engineer will understand vehicle architectures, features, and perform manual testing and automation scripts, with testing experience in DSPACE HIL environment and automation script development using ECU test tools.

Requirements

5–8 years of professional experience in Python development and test automation
Experience in Automotive infotainment, ADAS, telematics or EV/HEV systems, vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
Practical experience with AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT/LLMs, AI-based test generation or log-analysis tools) to improve productivity, test coverage, or defect detection
Solid understanding of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, smoke, integration)
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Create technical requirement documents basis the inputs received from clients through discussions and demos.
Create test cases basis the functional requirements ensuring test coverage across multiple modules.
Create data validation scenarios and set up test environment in collaboration with the client stakeholder.
Execute functional and regression testing to identify defects and document the result of the test cases.
Prepare test evidence and test review documents.
Log and update the defect status in the test management tool.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using Python.
Build and execute test suites using pytest or similar frameworks for integration and functional testing.
Integrate AI/LLM-based tools to accelerate test case generation, log analysis, defect triage, or code review.
Collaborate with automotive domain teams (ADAS, infotainment etc.) to understand test requirements.
Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and work with engineering and lab teams to resolve defects.
Maintain test documentation, coverage reports, and traceability matrices.
Understanding of Vehicle Architectures of Conventional, EV and Hybrid Powertrain System and corresponding ECU's.
Understand Vehicle features and ability to perform Manual testing and Automation Scripts.
Testing Experience in DSPACE HIL environment, Automation script development using ECU test tool.
