About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a Test and Evaluations Engineer, Senior to work out of Offutt AFB, NE. This role involves performing Software Quality Assurance (SQA) to ensure developed software meets quality specifications, reviewing code, and providing software engineering resolution support. The engineer will also perform coding tasks for features and tests, conduct peer reviews, and handle software build, packaging, and deployment scripting. A broad and practical knowledge of software engineering is required, including documentation, planning, requirements, design, support, and testing. The position requires hands-on documentation of test scripts, execution of tests, and reporting of findings. Full spectrum test support for government programs is expected, including developing test plans and reports, and coordinating test events. The role includes leading the planning, management, and execution of independent government test and evaluation for Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E), acting as the Lead DT&E (LDTO) POC. Responsibilities also include leading Test Readiness Reviews, supporting Production Readiness Reviews, serving as Secretariat for the Integrated Testing Team (ITT) and Chair of Deficiency Review Boards (DRBs), and providing summaries to stakeholders. The engineer will develop test objectives, create detailed test cases, procedures, and scenarios, and define, gather, and report test metrics. Additionally, the role involves determining operational feasibility through analysis and recommending improvements to operations by conducting systems analysis and suggesting policy/procedure changes. OPLAN knowledge and experience working with leadership on structural plan changes are also required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience to include: 5 years supporting the DoD
  • Strong knowledge and experience across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong hands-on software design and coding experience
  • Understanding of Agile software methodology and processes
  • Top Secret with SCI eligibility

Responsibilities

  • Perform Software Quality Assurance (SQA) to ensure that developed software meets and complies with defined or standardized quality specifications.
  • Review source code and configuration files, and provide software engineering resolution support.
  • Perform coding tasks for features/functions and/or functional/performance tests for features/functions.
  • Perform peer design and code reviews with other team members.
  • Perform coding/scripting tasks for software build, packaging, and deployment.
  • Perform work that applies broad and practical knowledge of software engineering to include but not be limited to, reviewing, preparing, and analyzing all types of documentation, planning, requirements, design, support, and test.
  • Perform actual hands-on documentation of test scripts and execution of those tests; provide reports of findings and functionality.
  • Provide full spectrum test support for government programs, including developing test plans and test reports; and assisting and coordinating test events with interested parties (program office, contractor, user, AFOTEC, external agencies).
  • Lead the planning, managing, and execution of the independent government test and evaluation portion of Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E); act as the Lead DT&E (LDTO) POC.
  • Lead Test Readiness Reviews and support Production Readiness Reviews.
  • Serve as Secretariat for the Integrated Testing Team (ITT) and Chair Deficiency Review Boards (DRBs); provide summaries to stakeholders.
  • Develop test objectives; create detailed test cases, procedures, and scenarios; define, gather, and report accurate test-related metrics.
