Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained prior to start.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Basic proficiency with 3D CAD modeling and 2D drafting (required).
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, course work, or projects.

Nice To Haves

CATIA V5 experience is a plus.
Fundamental understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with engineering drawings, GD&T, and design documentation.
Exposure to product lifecycle management (PLM) systems or engineering change processes.
Basic knowledge of materials, manufacturing methods, and mechanical assemblies.
Familiarity with testing, validation, or laboratory environments through coursework or internships.
Exposure to PLM systems such as ENOVIA or Teamcenter.

Responsibilities

Support the development of test design packages based on engineering requirements.
Create and modify 3D CAD models under the guidance of senior engineers and designers.
Produce and revise 2D manufacturing drawings in accordance with engineering standards.
Assist with manufacturing assembly documentation and planning.
Maintain part configurations and documentation within assigned test designs.
Support laboratory build activities by working with engineers and technicians to resolve design-related issues.
Collaborate with project engineers and cross-functional teams to meet test objectives and project milestones.
Participate in design reviews, incorporating feedback and supporting technical presentations as needed.
Report progress on assigned tasks, assist with troubleshooting, and communicate potential risks to project leads.
