Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the scheduling, facilitation and administering and scoring of the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) and the General Education Development (GED) Official Practice Test (OPT)
  • Maintains all records associated with the aforementioned tests
  • Maintains a high degree of discipline within the testing room
  • Adequately prepares for the administration of the TABE and the GED Official Practice Test
  • Reviews pre-test preparation and post-test results
  • Documents student progress for inclusion on the ETA 640 Profile
  • Documents and tracks student test results, next scheduled tests, and progress
  • Tests and diagnoses areas of difficulty; prescribes individual plans
  • Designs instructional strategies to meet students' needs
  • Helps determine which test an individual should take when the student does not pass the entire GED test
  • Administers all TABE tests to include initial, follow-ups, and exit and promotion tests
  • Provides adequate testing instruction to students
  • Supervises long form
  • Ensures appropriate lighting in the testing room
  • Ensures testing is conducted in an area with low noise level
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Ensure student schedule is completed weekly and posted as required, print master schedule.
  • Review schedules daily to ensure that students are scheduled as required.
