About The Position

East Penn Manufacturing, a world-class leader in automotive battery manufacturing, is looking for a Territory Sales Representative in Dayton, Ohio. In this position, you will work closely with Automotive Aftermarket industry experts and receive training on all aspects of sales methods and techniques. You will also gain experience with our large customer base, technology, product line, and unique culture within your Western Ohio territory. Within this very well-established sales territory, the ideal candidate will be challenged supporting National Accounts, Original Equipment customers, Aftermarket Accounts, Program Groups, and Niche Market customers. The successful individual could position themselves for a variety of opportunities ranging from Account Executive, Sales Manager, District Manager, and beyond. The estimated salary range is $65,000 - $70,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training.

Requirements

  • Must currently reside in the Greater Dayton, OH area, with daily travel as needed.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Business, Communications, Finance, Engineering, Economics, Marketing, or relative work experience considered.
  • Prefer 1–2-year sales or automotive aftermarket experience.

Responsibilities

  • Networking with senior decision makers and industry leaders.
  • Developing market penetration ideas for new and existing products.
  • Manage Sales Territory to build knowledge on our products, competition, and customers.
  • Implementing programs to drive sales growth.
  • Gaining key industry insight.
  • Learning about market challenges and planning to overcome them.
  • Discovering new sales techniques.
  • Training Customers on our products and technology.
  • Sales territory covers Western Ohio, with majority of accounts in the Dayton, Lima, and Cincinnati, OH areas.
  • Requires some overnight travel, approximately 25%.
  • Maintains regular attendance.
  • Dedicated to best of class customer service and support.
  • Relied upon to Think like a Customer and Act like an Owner
  • Ability to work hours that best align with customers, traffic patterns, and call frequency
  • Performs other duties as requested by District Manager
