About The Position

The Brand Representative (BA) will primarily be responsible for building relationships and brand awareness inside retail stores, on behalf of Dell. The ideal candidate is a “people-person” who can cultivate relationships and build excitement about the Dell brand and products. The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to create thoughtful and positive interactions with both store associates and prospective customers alike. The Brand Representative will leverage relationships to aid in selling, training, and merchandising Dell products throughout the specified market. All product training will be provided, we just need you to bring your personality and positive energy. The Brand Representative will drive brand market share through daily direct and indirect sales activities engaging directly with customers and retail channel partners. They will develop partnerships with retail store management to foster sales driving activities with associates, and schedule and facilitate sales and product training with front line store associates and managers. They will ensure current products are displayed, functional, and clean, and execute Retail Display Resets and Refreshes as needed within assigned Markets. This role offers the opportunity to travel for Merchandising throughout the nation. The representative will drive sales productivity through high quality sales interactions with customers, build and maintain industry vertical affiliate distribution relationships, and effectively assess and communicate on-site needs such as marketing material and promotional collateral. They will educate customers while making product recommendations, meet or exceed personal sales productivity goals and key metrics on a monthly and quarterly basis, and accurately document and report sales, schedules, activities and best practices. They will also collect customer feedback and provide sales/marketing channel insight and recommendations, and set and maintain brand merchandising in retail locations and ensure all brand standards are followed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 6+ months previous retail selling experience in consumer electronics or other technical/wireless products preferred.
  • 6+ months of successful training experience, preferably within direct marketing/retail environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stage a consultative selling process that overcomes objections and connects with customer needs.
  • Strong analytical skills and customer service orientation.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills, time management and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform independently in an unstructured work environment.
  • Must have and maintain reliable transportation and state-required minimum liability automobile insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrating and promoting Dell products at retailers in the assigned market.
  • Being the in-store resource to answer questions, discuss product features and provide hands-on demonstrations.
  • Conducting experience events to engage Retail Sales Associates and customers.
  • Confirming display devices are clean, functional, and available for customers to use.
  • Conducting surveys of in-store branded fixtures and displays and recording findings.
  • Partnering with store leaders on solutions for pricing or merchandising issues.
  • Executing resets, including placement or removal of devices and marketing material.
  • Providing insight into marketplace trends of territory retailers.
  • Collecting consumer insights weekly.
  • Gathering intelligence from stores which are exceeding sales performance.
  • Providing data on competitor pricing, incentives, promotions, and customer preference or sentiment.
  • Developing partnership with retail store management to foster sales driving activities with associates.
  • Scheduling and facilitating sales and product training with front line store associates and managers.
  • Ensuring current products are displayed, functional, and clean.
  • Setting Retail Display Resets and Refreshes as needed within assigned Markets.
