About The Position

As a leading US manufacturer of industrial-grade products, United Abrasives, Inc. is seeking a driven, growth-focused sales representative to join our team. The individual will manage all sales and business development activities within the region (Southern California) while being given the tools and comprehensive training at our facility to become a successful team member and specialist in our industry. This position allows you to listen to your customers, problem-solve, and develop business relationships while expanding your earning potential.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years of sales experience in an industrial setting.
• Up-to-date knowledge of industrial distribution practices and trends.
• Access to transportation and a valid driver’s license required.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of welding, metal fabricating, woodworking, and power tools is helpful.
• Military background is a plus.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Motivated to work.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-user sales through multiple distribution channels.
• Uncover new sales opportunities and convert them into customers.
• Demonstrate products to end users emphasizing the financial impact of improved performance, safety, and quality.
• Manage and consistently update sales leads to track progress.
• Effective management of end-users and distributors with high quality follow through ensuring territory growth objectives are achieved.
• Overnight travel required (access to transportation and a valid driver’s license required).
