About The Position

Allagash Brewing Company in Portland, Maine is seeking an experienced Territory Sales Manager to join our sales team and drive growth in a dynamic New Jersey territory. We’re looking for someone with at least three years of experience in a brand support or sales role, along with distributor management experience and strong relationships with key accounts and distributor partners. Experience working with or for a wholesaler is preferred. In this role, success comes from the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of colleagues, customers, and wholesaler partners while bringing a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and adaptability to the work. A solid understanding of the alcohol category and a passion for sharing knowledge with wholesalers, retailers, and consumers will help you unlock growth opportunities. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys the energy of the on-premise channel and can capitalize on seasonal market opportunities. You can expect to spend over 70% of your time in the market visiting accounts, partnering with distributor representatives, building relationships, and supporting consumer-facing activation events.

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience in a brand support or sales role.
  • Distributor management experience.
  • Strong relationships with key accounts and distributor partners.
  • Solid understanding of the alcohol category.
  • Strong organizational skills, including time management and territory planning.
  • Comfort with tools like Microsoft 365 or similar platforms, CRM systems such as KARMA, and expense tools like Concur.
  • Willingness to learn new systems.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Based within the territory (Somerset, Middlesex, Union, Essex, Lower Bergen, or Morris County).
