About The Position

The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) is designated as the primary driver for bringing new customers to Harbor Wholesale within their assigned region. Responsibilities are to grow and develop new business sales by securing new customer purchases in their region. Harbor Wholesale has a superlative team on the ground for full support and training. This position will sell and service greater Bakersfield, CA. Candidates must live central to the territory and have field sales knowledge of the region.

Requirements

  • Effective and proven negotiation skills are a must.
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
  • TSM must be a team player, with an ability to solve complex problems working with a team of peers at Harbor Wholesale.
  • Work requires travel, primarily in assigned region with roughly % overnight travel.
  • Knowledge of Territory. Must live centrally located within territory.
  • 2-4 years field sales/outside sales in a high volume customer-centric environment; priority will be given to foodservice/convenience/DSD/Advanced Merchandising.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with strong MS Office skills in a variety of programs.
  • Exceptional follow-through and customer service detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and sales experience within the convenience store industry highly preferred.
  • Some college or higher education highly preferred.

Responsibilities
