About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and driven Territory Sales Manager responsible for Aftermarket Parts Sales in NY, CT, RI, MA, VT, NH, & ME. This role focuses on generating new business through outside sales efforts while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Five to ten years of sales experience preferred, with strong customer relationship skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to resolve customer concerns
  • Ability to solve practical problems related to heating systems and parts
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to read mechanical drawings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel overnight approximately 3 to 4 days per week
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must pass drug screen, physical, and background check

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with new and existing customers
  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with Astec’s goals
  • Communicate with customers regarding equipment performance issues related to parts, service, and new equipment
  • Assist in training for existing and prospective customers
  • Maintain accurate records of sales-related leads, contacts, and referrals, and communicate information to the appropriate departments
  • Manage customer accounts, including sales, credit issues, warranties, and business development within the territory
  • Attend industry trade shows, meetings, and conventions to stay current on trends and generate business opportunities
  • Participate in customer service training and other company-related events as needed
  • Deliver results aligned with the company’s vision and mission
  • Promote and support Astec’s core values
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times
  • Perform additional duties as assigned that support business objectives
