Learn More. The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for maximizing market share in the territory by focusing on prospecting and converting incoming leads to drive activations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, general education degree, or applicable experience
  • 1 year of prospecting experience or 1 year of experience at WS
  • Willingness to travel 10% to 20% of the time for important customer field visits (mostly day trips)
  • Strong command of professional communication (written and verbal)
  • Proficient in effectively using Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel) and video conferencing software such as Zoom, Teams, etc.
  • Able to speak, read, and write in French and English

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets for containers, ground level offices, single wide modular, complex modular (in select markets) and value-added products.
  • Approximately 40% of time will be spent prospecting, 30% converting incoming leads, and the remainder on account development, in-person prospecting, and customer visits.
  • Identify and prioritize potential customers, industries, and market segments to optimize customer acquisition.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and consistently strive to convert prospects into sales.
  • Maintain a high volume of transactional and major project sales opportunities while proposing turnkey space solutions and value-added products.
  • Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships through regular communication, site visits, and exceptional customer service.
  • Understand customer needs, provide product recommendations, and promptly address questions and concerns.
  • Collaborate with customers to create customized solutions that meet their container and modular space needs.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM system to track performance and manage customers collaboratively.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities within the territory.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential growth and differentiation opportunities.
  • Provide feedback to the leadership team on market intelligence and customer feedback.
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to maximize monthly rental rates and pricing, as needed.
  • Prepare accurate and competitive quotes for potential customers.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of sales contracts to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely order processing and delivery.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts using CRM software.
  • Regularly generate reports for management on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity.
  • Meet daily/weekly expectations for key metrics to achieve realistic goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, logistics, and customer support, to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project execution.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to colleagues as needed to ensure the achievement of common sales goals.
