Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous sales experience selling 'value added' products/services, preferably related to the commercial construction industry, PVF industry, or mechanical products.

Responsibilities

  • Learn Victaulic's products and solutions to assist customers in completing projects on time and within budget.
  • Understand grooved mechanical pipe joining methods, competitive methods (welding, flanging), construction cycles, market trends, and competitor activity.
  • Integrate into local trade organizations and professional associations.
  • Develop and execute a business plan with Regional Sales Manager, including opportunity mapping, sales goals, and product promotion strategies.
  • Execute all phases of project pursuit and project management, from inception through after-sale follow-up.
  • Gather complete information for quotation requisitions.
  • Lead inside sales team, engineering, and support staff to meet customer requirements.
  • Develop and build lasting relationships with mechanical contractors, engineers, and building/project owners.
  • Spend time with customers, including evenings or weekends for social events.
  • Partner with Victaulic distributors and manage a balanced distribution network.
  • Coordinate activities with other Victaulic representatives and regional market specialists.
  • Educate customers on the value of Victaulic products and influence decision-makers.
  • Conduct tool demonstrations and installation technique training on job sites.
  • Present lunch and learn sessions for engineers on cutting-edge products.
  • Travel as required by the territory, potentially involving overnight stays.
  • Work in various weather conditions and handle equipment that may weigh up to 50+ pounds.
