Nott Company is seeking a Territory Sales Manager in our Industrial market segment to support the Twin Cities metro area, Northeast Minnesota, and Northwest Wisconsin. This role is ideal for a proactive, growth-driven sales professional who thrives on developing new business, opening doors with OEMs, and building a strong pipeline of opportunities. The territory includes a high concentration of industrial OEMs across material handling, automation, and general manufacturing. Customers rely on high-performance hydraulic, pneumatic, and engineered system solutions, along with value-added services that improve efficiency, reliability, and uptime. This position also supports manufacturers and integrators with custom assemblies, sealing solutions, and application-specific expertise.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-year degree in fluid power, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years inside/outside sales experience.
  • Effective negotiating, selling and interpersonal skills.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and pre-employment drug/alcohol test.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Petrochemical knowledge highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, develop, and follow up on sales leads for Company products in assigned territory or assigned accounts.
  • Close sales and process orders through Customer Service, using established Company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Lead and coordinate the presentation of Company strategies, programs, proposals and quotations to generate sales, following Company policies and supplier guidelines for pricing decisions included in proposals, making effective use of Company resources including people and time.
  • Work with customer Manufacturing, Engineering and Maintenance to develop hydraulic, petrochemical and power transmission system solutions to enhance their manufacturing, machinery or equipment efficiency.
  • Work in conjunction with our engineering team to identify cost and benefit solutions for the customer with convincing technical arguments.
  • Be the technical go to liaison for our customers and solutions provider.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge of Company products, markets, and customer applications to maximize our ability to satisfy customer needs.
