About The Position

The Territory Sales manager will be responsible for managing and growing existing customer accounts and new Business Development ensuring client satisfaction and revenue growth. This role will also manage the independent Sales Rep organization and be involved with developing sales strategies including cross-selling within the Tavoron companies, overseeing the sales process, mentoring and training sales representatives, and collaborating with other departments to maximize the success of the sales function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or a combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of sales experience with automation, distribution, or manufacturing; experience in a leadership role, with participation in, or control of the sales department a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience managing a sales team (company employees and independent sales reps).
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and strategic objectives as an individual and sales leader.
  • Experience working with technical teams to deliver automation solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Must be a self-starter with integrity, innovation, and can pay attention to details.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of assigned client accounts, ensuring strong, long-term relationships.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth and expansion, upselling and cross-selling products or services as appropriate.
  • Manage the independent Sales Rep organization relationship
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet organizational goals.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to drive sales strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within each account.
  • Track and manage sales activity and customer interactions using CRM software.
  • Monitor and analyze account performance metrics to ensure targets are met and provide strategic recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, product, and customer service to ensure client needs are addressed and fulfilled.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of sales representatives to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop action plans to address any sales performance gaps or challenges.
  • Ability to travel nationally 30%+
