The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for generating revenue and meeting sales targets by building relationships with existing agencies and acquiring new business. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of insurance products and offer tailored solutions to independent agencies.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in business, Communications, Marketing, a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
  • 3 years of proven experience in field sales or a related role with a successful track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales-related technologies.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and goal-oriented individual with a passion for sales.
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time within the assigned territory.

  • 220 license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate contact with independent agencies within the designated territory.
  • Identify decision makers and key contacts within agencies.
  • Ensure agencies are aware of UAIC's contact information and relevant departments.
  • Familiarize with agency history and operations.
  • Assess opportunities for growth and profitability within agencies.
  • Analyze agency size, business volume, target customer base, and lead generation methods.
  • Understand barriers and challenges to adopting UAIC products/services.
  • Position UAIC products and services effectively based on gathered insights.
  • Highlight features and benefits that align with agency needs and goals.
  • Establish clear, mutually agreed-upon commitments with agencies.
  • Define specific timelines and measurable outcomes for commitments.
  • Ensure results are trackable and measurable.
  • Conduct 16-20 unique in-person sales calls per week.
  • Allocate sufficient time for each sales call (typically 1 hour).
  • Manage schedule for efficient travel and administrative tasks.
  • Maintain a shared calendar with the team for transparency and to avoid duplicating efforts.
  • Document all visits with detailed notes in the corresponding calendar event within 24 hours.
