About The Position

IGS Energy is expanding its sales team and seeking a Territory Sales Consultant. This role involves providing potential customers with expertise and education on a wide variety of energy products, helping homeowners become smart energy consumers. The company focuses on innovating smart technology for clean energy sourcing, carbon footprint management, and utility line protection. The Territory Sales Consultant will work within an assigned territory, selling natural gas, electricity, and utility line protection using a consultative selling approach. The goal is to increase customer awareness of energy choices and competitive advantages, provide pricing, and close sales while ensuring accurate representation of products and an exceptional customer experience. The role requires keeping detailed sales records via CRM technology on an iPad and developing collaborative relationships with other sales representatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • A good driving record
  • A reliable personal vehicle
  • Auto insurance coverage that satisfies the minimum requirement for the state.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Generate business by working an assigned territory selling natural gas, electricity and utility line protection.
  • Use a consultative selling approach; increase customer’s awareness of choice as well as competitive advantage over other energy providers; provide potential customer with pricing and effectively close the sale.
  • Assure quality and accurate representation of products; represent the company professionally and ensure that potential customers have an exceptional experience.
  • Keep detailed records of sales activity via CRM technology on an iPad.
  • Develop collaborative working relationships with other sales representatives.
