About The Position

Ecolab is seeking a Territory Sales and Service Representative to join their team in the Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas market. This role involves managing a territory, servicing laundry and dish machines, dispensing equipment and systems, and selling new solutions to customers to help achieve the goal of a cleaner, safer, and healthier environment. The position is field-based and requires travel for training and within the assigned territory. After training, the representative will manage, service, and sell to established customers including restaurants, hotels, schools, and long-term care facilities. In some cases, associates may be assigned a supporting role until a territory is available.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of sales, mechanical service, customer service, food service or hospitality industry-related experience
  • Availability to work overnight shifts and provide emergency assistance which may occur at night, on weekends and over holidays
  • Position requires a current and valid Driver’s License with no restrictions
  • No Immigration Sponsorship available for this position
  • Lifting 50 lbs

  • Working in confined spaces

  • Availability to work overtime

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or other advanced training or certifications
  • Previous mechanical problem-solving experience (e.g. plumbing, electrical, HVAC and/or mechanical experience) in industries related to food service, laundry, housekeeping, hospitality and/or pool and spa

Responsibilities

  • Leverage tools and technology (including tablet and mobile phone apps) to conduct customer visits and recommend unique programs and solutions to customers
  • Communicate total value to the customer to meet their needs and grow sales within existing customer accounts
  • Use problem-solving skills to conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on laundry and dish machines, dispensing equipment, and systems
  • Provide emergency service to existing customers via phone or in person, as needed
  • Assist in the installation of equipment and solutions
  • Demonstrate safe equipment use, ensuring customers' operations are fully functional
  • Manage equipment, parts, and inventory to control costs
