About The Position

Conklin Metal Industries is expanding its presence in the Raleigh-Durham market and is looking for a driven, relationship-focused Territory Manager. This role is for a salesperson who thrives on building relationships, creating opportunities, and winning business. The ideal candidate enjoys being out in the market, meeting customers face-to-face, and has the freedom to manage their territory. This is a high-visibility position for someone who enjoys meeting people, solving problems, and turning opportunities into long-term customer partnerships. The company has been serving the HVAC industry since 1874 and provides local support through its Apex branch, offering the necessary tools, inventory, leadership, and resources to succeed in a growing region.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of outside B2B sales experience
  • Proven track record of developing customer relationships and growing sales
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC, construction, industrial, building products, or related industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Build and grow relationships with HVAC contractors, sheet metal fabricators, and mechanical professionals throughout the Raleigh-Durham market
  • Develop new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships
  • Become a trusted advisor by helping customers solve problems and grow their businesses
  • Conduct daily customer visits and maintain a strong presence in the market
  • Identify competitive opportunities and convert prospects into long-term customers
  • Collaborate with vendor partners and internal teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences
  • Stay informed on industry trends, products, and market developments
  • Drive profitable growth while creating lasting customer loyalty
