About The Position

The Territory Manager will manage an assigned group of customers, grow a knowledge base of customers’ businesses and products, and develop and maintain long-term customer relationships. This role involves introducing new products and services to customers, developing and executing a territory growth plan across all product lines, and working with Product Development to deliver customer solutions that lead to revenue growth and margin creation. The Territory Manager will use data and information to feed forward opportunities to other areas/territories, identify business opportunities with both new and existing customers, and develop and execute sales plans to obtain business and achieve revenue objectives. The role requires meeting or exceeding sales targets through a direct sales process and sales expansion, developing both short-term and long-term sales objectives, and executing on those objectives. Additionally, the Territory Manager will monitor market data for industry growth and decline and adjust sales plans accordingly, acting as a liaison between the external customer and internal departments (Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Quality) to ensure customer needs are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Five (5) plus years’ experience in a direct selling position; manufacturing preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Travel up 50%
