About The Position

Inter-State Studio is a family-owned school photography and yearbook company that has been successfully serving schools for 90 years. By listening to the needs of our customers and utilizing the latest technologies, we pride ourselves on providing high-quality school portraits and yearbooks with affordable pricing and excellent service. We are seeking a driven and experienced Territory Manager to oversee the operations and sales performance within a designated geographical area. You will be the key link between corporate management, staff, and customers, responsible for meeting sales targets, managing budgets, and fostering customer relationships. This role requires a hands-on leader capable of driving growth and maintaining high levels of account retention.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of industry-related sales and supervisory experience.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and solve problems effectively.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and virtual meeting tools.
  • High level of energy, enthusiasm, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the District Manager to create budgets, business plans, and pricing strategies that align with company objectives. Manage labor and expenses to meet benchmarks.
  • Execute sales plans through cold calling, networking, and referrals. Develop proposals, presentations, and bids, and follow the sales process to generate new business. Ensure accurate and timely sales reporting.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through regular check-ins, both virtual and in-person. Meet rebooking goals and ensure all agreements are submitted on time.
  • Hire, train, and manage full-time, part-time, and seasonal staff. Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing development to ensure the team meets its objectives.
  • Ensure proper scheduling of photography dates, meet time-sensitive deadlines, and oversee job submissions to ensure they are production-ready.
  • Address and resolve customer service issues promptly, solicit feedback, and follow up on prior customers to address concerns and improve retention.
