About The Position

Savaria Patient Care, a division of Savaria Corporation, provides products designed for safe patient handling and positive outcomes. Their product portfolio includes therapeutic surfaces for pressure management and positioning, medical beds, and a complete range of innovative ceiling and floor lifts and slings. The Territory Manager is assigned a geographic region (Florida Keys: Orlando, Jacksonville, or Gainesville) to maintain and increase sales of medical products, meet individual sales objectives, attend trade shows, and work with distributor representatives and end-users. The role involves selling to distributors and dealers, as well as servicing and selling to facilities such as long-term care, rehabilitation centers, hospice, homecare, VAMC, and state facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) required.
  • 3 + years related work experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
  • Ability to use a CRM system.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to organize and facilitate the moving and setting up of hospital bed frames and surfaces.
  • Ability to lift up to 200 pounds, roll, take beds on and off dollies, and load and unload from the transport vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an annual territory sales plan and provide quarterly updates to the Region Manager.
  • Develop, maintain, and expand customer base, follow up on leads, and maintain key customer relationships with departments such as Executive Directors, Director of Nursing, Wound Care nurses, maintenance, biomed, prosthetics, OT/PT/KT, contracting officers, and logistics.
  • Meet or exceed sales objectives to achieve the established sales plan.
  • Provide customer support for all product collateral, including samples and literature.
  • Provide in-service education and training to customers.
  • Transport equipment (beds, floor lifts, surfaces, etc.) to and from sales calls and trade shows.
  • Participate in clinical programs and workshops within the assigned territory.
  • Support the Quality Policy, Quality System, and follow established procedures.
  • Attend regional and national sales meetings as scheduled.
  • Follow safety rules to protect oneself and company equipment.
  • Work with national, regional, and local distributors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
