About The Position

US Foods is a leading food distributor in the U.S., offering a wide range of products and services to enhance client profitability. We are seeking a passionate and driven Territory Manager to build relationships, drive sales, and make a significant impact in the foodservice industry. This role offers a comprehensive training program, extensive coaching, sales tools, and mentoring to ensure long-term success. As a Territory Manager, you will be responsible for nurturing customer relationships, driving business growth through sales, and identifying new business opportunities. You will work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and seamless product delivery.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver’s license is required, and motor vehicle record must be in good standing.
  • Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals.
  • Problem-solving ability, organization, and negotiation skills.
  • Team-up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Tech-savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Own and nurture customer relationships in a team-based selling model.
  • Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies.
  • Drive sales by increasing case growth and acquiring new business through impactful sales presentations and tailored sales approaches.
  • Manage time and territory effectively.
  • Collaborate with Specialists for top penetration opportunities and new account openings.
  • Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and customer service to ensure seamless product delivery.
  • Develop new business by identifying prospective customers using market intelligence databases, business directories, and leads from existing clients.
  • Participate in organizations, clubs, and attend trade shows and conferences to identify new business.
  • Manage deliveries according to the routing schedule and troubleshoot any problems during the order process.
  • Stay informed about market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
  • Drive a personal motor vehicle to conduct regular check-ins, site visits, and follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
