About The Position

The Residential Sales Territory Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, maintaining strong customer relationships, and increasing market share for HVAC products and services within a defined territory. This role focuses on building relationships with contractors and dealers to promote the company’s residential HVAC solutions. The ideal candidate has strong industry knowledge, excellent sales acumen, and a passion for helping customers find the right HVAC solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in the HVAC, construction, or building materials industries.
  • Solid understanding of the company’s sales function, related services and product lines.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • May involve occasional lifting of HVAC product samples or materials (up to 25 lbs).
  • Work from home and field-based; occasional office or team meetings required.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and industry trends is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow HVAC residential product sales within the assigned territory.
  • Assisting assigned accounts with business planning, product training, sales tools, and participation in TSI and supplier programs.
  • Develop strong relationships with residential contractors, dealers, and distributors vendors.
  • Identify new business opportunities and proactively pursue leads and referrals.
  • Conduct regular territory visits, sales calls, and product presentations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (inside sales, marketing, service, purchasing) to support customer needs.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to drive strategic planning and forecasting.
  • Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence.
  • Attend local trade shows, dealer meetings, and networking events as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and prepare sales reports regularly.
