About The Position

Pape’ Material Handling, a premier capital equipment dealer in the West, is seeking a motivated and competitive salesperson to join their team as a Territory Manager for Material Handling Equipment Sales. This role offers a lucrative sales career with unlimited earning potential. The Territory Manager will act as a trusted business partner to customers, focusing on building strong relationships, developing new business, and providing material handling equipment and solutions to improve productivity, efficiency, safety, and profitability. The position involves working with customers across various industries to understand their operations and equipment needs, traveling in a company-provided sales vehicle to meet with customers, identify opportunities, and grow the territory. Collaboration with internal service, parts, and rental teams is also a key aspect of the role. The company provides ongoing training, mentorship, and support.

Requirements

  • Previous sales experience; outside or territory sales experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of material handling equipment, lift trucks, warehouse equipment, or related industrial equipment preferred.
  • Strong business development, prospecting, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand customer operations and recommend equipment and solutions based on their business needs.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and comfortable managing an assigned sales territory.
  • Driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Understand customer operations, challenges, and equipment needs across various industries.
  • Recommend and sell material handling equipment, such as lift trucks, and related solutions.
  • Travel in a company-provided sales vehicle to meet face-to-face with new and existing customers.
  • Identify opportunities and grow the assigned sales territory.
  • Partner closely with service, parts, rental, and other internal teams to ensure outstanding customer support.
