Requirements

1+ year of sales experience preferred.
HS Diploma or equivalent.
A valid driver’s license is required, and motor vehicle record must be in good standing.
Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals.
Problem solving ability / organization and negotiation skills.
Team up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Tech-savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.
Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team-based selling model.
Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies.
Sell to customers, increase case growth, and acquire new business through impactful sales presentations and tailored sales approaches.
Work collaboratively with Specialists to assist with top penetration opportunities and new account openings.
Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and customer service to ensure seamless product delivery.
Identify prospective customers by utilizing market intelligence databases, business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department and troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process.
Know the market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales, and share this information with customers.
Drive personal motor vehicle to conduct regular check-ins, site visits, and follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
