This role is for a top-performing sales professional, an individual contributor as a Regional Vice President of Business Development, who is ready to own their market and drive high-value sales. Requirements

  • 7+ years of executive-level, consultative B2B sales experience
  • Expert prospector with a strong track record of engaging business owners and closing deals
  • Autonomous, high-energy hunter who thrives in a competitive environment
  • Advanced CRM and software skills
  • Ability to travel within their territory for in-person meetings (up to 75% overnight travel)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outreach via calls, emails, and networking to secure 10+ meetings/week with business owners.
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to introduce Cogent’s Discovery Process, an expert-led business analysis designed to uncover opportunities for profitability and efficiency.
  • Engage with business owners and key stakeholders in your region to build a strong presence and position Cogent as the go-to partner for business growth.
  • Work closely with Cogent’s in-office business development team to maximize client-facing appointments, while driving your own pipeline growth and closing high-value deals.
  • Be accountable for your market’s performance, with success measured by your ability to prospect, convert, and drive revenue.
  • Drive a minimum of 35 prospect touches per week, securing at least one Discovery commitment weekly.
