About The Position

As a Territory Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping customer relationships and driving business growth. This role involves nurturing existing accounts, seeking new business, and driving earnings and incentives. US Foods provides a comprehensive training program with extensive coaching, sales tools, and mentoring for the Territory Manager position.

Requirements

1+ year of sales experience preferred.
HS Diploma or equivalent.
A valid driver’s license is required, and motor vehicle record must be in good standing.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals.
Problem-solving ability / organization and negotiation skills.
Team-up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Tech-savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.
Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team-based selling model.
Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies.
Drive sales by selling to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business through impactful sales presentations and tailored sales approaches.
Work collaboratively with Specialists for top penetration opportunities and new account openings.
Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and customer service to ensure seamless product delivery.
Develop new business by identifying prospective customers using market intelligence databases, business directories, following leads, participating in organizations, and attending trade shows.
Manage deliveries according to the routing schedule and troubleshoot any problems during the order process.
Understand market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales, sharing this information with customers.
Drive personal vehicle to conduct regular check-ins, site visits, and follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
