About The Position

Accountable is a virtual substance use recovery and sobriety support program that matches members with certified peer recovery coaches. The program is supported by daily breathalyzer monitoring, remote drug testing, and recovery groups. Accountable serves individuals stepping down from treatment, those needing ancillary support alongside other programs, or those seeking initial structure for sobriety. Founded by individuals in recovery, the program has served over 10,000 members and is expanding its coverage across various payer segments.

Requirements

  • Live in the territory.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Have reliable transportation.
  • 2+ years of outside sales, community outreach, admissions, or business development experience.
  • Ability to speak the language of the treatment world, understanding terms like detox, residential, PHP, IOP, outpatient, MAT, and sober living, and how recovery support fits in.
  • Understanding of how care is paid for and accessed (private pay, commercial insurance, Medicare) to answer cost-related questions.
  • Proven experience with cold outreach, including building lists, knocking on doors, and converting contacts into relationships.
  • Experience meeting sales targets.
  • Ability to communicate credibly with clinical directors and concerned parents.
  • Disciplined about CRM usage and same-day logging of activity.

  • Existing relationships with treatment providers or clinicians in the Everett / North Sound market.
  • Personal or family recovery experience.

Responsibilities

  • Build and work a territory plan covering the market's referral sources.
  • Be in the field 4–5 days a week, conducting 15–20 meetings per week once ramped.
  • Sell consultatively, understanding referrer needs before pitching and being willing to state when Accountable is not the right fit.
  • Call on treatment providers including residential programs, detoxes, PHP/IOPs, sober livings, and their associated discharge planners, case managers, and alumni coordinators.
  • Call on clinical providers such as therapists, addiction medicine and psychiatry practices, primary care, and hospital social workers.
  • Call on community partners including drug courts, interventionists, DUI and family law attorneys, EAPs, and recovery community organizations.
  • Run in-services and lunch-and-learns.
  • Attend coalition meetings, recovery events, and conferences in the market.
  • Activate new accounts and maintain existing ones, aiming for at least quarterly referrals from each active account.
  • Close the loop with every referrer after each interaction.
  • Log all activity in the CRM on the same day.
  • Adhere to Accountable's compliance standards in all referral relationships.
