About The Position

As a Heavy Duty Truck Territory Lease and Rental Sales Representative, your responsibilities will be to grow and develop the new Heavy Duty Truck lease and rental business within your assigned territory. This role involves generating new business, managing and penetrating existing accounts, and growing the customer base. You will work closely with Fixed Operations Teams and other internal departments to maximize sales volume, net profit, and customer satisfaction. The position requires managing the sales effort within the territory, penetrating target and strategic accounts, and traveling to prospect, cold call, and set up customer appointments. You will also be responsible for completing daily/weekly sales activity reports, managing ongoing customer relations, and adhering to expense plans. Training and supporting other departments' initiatives are also key aspects of this role. Additionally, you will handle inbound and outbound sales processes, including creating contracts, managing vehicle check-outs and check-ins, and ensuring all damage is noted during physical inspections. Generating new business leads and maintaining customer relationships through phone and in-person sales calls are crucial. You will also manage the fleet of vehicles, including maintenance and damage repairs, and schedule customer reservations while tracking rental return dates to minimize equipment downtime. Ensuring complete customer satisfaction while maintaining profitability is a primary objective. The role may require assisting in truck delivery and pick-up and obtaining a Class B license within 6 months of employment.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience within the Trucking/Transportation Industry or a related industry.
  • Self-starter with the highest degree of energy, self-confidence and integrity and the ability to perform well with-out daily supervision.
  • Ability to successfully negotiate with customers at all management levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure both externally and internally across department lines, meet deadlines, and be flexible in working on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Exceptional Customer Service Orientation.
  • Proven ability to exceed annual/quarterly/monthly sales goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Ability to obtain minimum of a Class B license within 6 months of employment.
  • Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment.
