About The Position

Under the direction of the Regional Sales Manager, the Territory Account Representative – Retail is responsible for managing and growing an assigned retail book of business and territory through a combination of field-based and inside sales activities. This position serves as OrePac's primary field sales representative to retail customers, driving sales performance by developing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, promoting OrePac products and programs, supporting customer quoting and order activity, and delivering exceptional customer service. This position is responsible for maintaining and expanding customer relationships while increasing market penetration and sales performance across assigned accounts. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and growing sales within an assigned retail book of business by identifying customer needs, uncovering product opportunities, increasing product adoption, and generating incremental sales growth.
  • Utilize sales tools, product literature, samples, marketing materials, and customer selling resources to influence purchasing decisions and drive revenue.
  • Represent OrePac during various customer events, promoting OrePac’s full line of products and value proposition.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, sales presentations, and training sessions that influence purchasing decisions and increase customer product adoption.
  • May occasionally be responsible for assembly, maintenance, disassembly, refresh, and placement of displays within assigned accounts.
  • Responsible for driving and communicating outbound customer promotions.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and actively pursue opportunities to generate new orders and recurring sales business.
  • Proactively identify, pursue, and secure sales opportunities within assigned accounts through direct customer engagement, product presentations, business development activities, and relationship management.
  • Generate orders and increase sales volume by promoting OrePac products, programs, and value-added solutions.
  • Conduct regular in-person, telephone, and electronic customer interactions to develop business, generate orders, expand product placement, increase market share, and identify incremental revenue opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Drive sales growth across all retail sales channels and programs, including stock, special order, and in-home selling initiatives, by increasing product adoption, expanding customer participation, and maximizing revenue opportunities.
  • Follow-up on all generated quotes to assure that the customer is being serviced and to anticipate the potential opportunity to earn the business.
  • Demonstrate and introduce new products, services, and developments to established accounts.
  • Participate in sales presentations.
  • Identify and support customer sales needs including providing literature, marketing supplies, samples, price pages, etc.
  • Maintain customer relationships with new and assigned customer accounts.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of OrePac’s pricing structure and services.
  • Process cancellations or changes in sales order and communicate the changes with appropriate departments.
  • Coordinate and resolve customer concerns, including delivery errors, short shipments, and returns of damaged product.
  • Demonstrate thorough product knowledge in all communications.
  • Process customer quotes, orders and RMA’s when needed.
  • Develop an effective and productive working relationship with OrePac Inside Sales Associates and support personnel.
  • Develop an effective and productive working relationship with commercial staff and office support personnel in multiple locations; encourage and assist in their training and development when possible.
  • Follow company-prescribed methods of tracking daily activities within the CRM system (e.g., logging calls, emails, meetings, and site visits), ensuring all customer interactions, pipeline updates, opportunity stages, and follow-up tasks are accurately documented in real time to support reporting accuracy, forecast visibility, and overall sales accountability.
  • May occasionally be required to diagnose and address potential and minor defects in the field and report back to operations with suggested solutions and/or schedule additional service or a full product replacement.
  • Gather market data and competitor insight to share with Account Executives and Regional Sales Managers.
  • Must be familiar with the competition and how to sell against it.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and Regional Sales Managers to identify opportunities for account expansion, increased market penetration, and sales growth.
  • Report all incidents and accidents to one’s immediate supervisor immediately or within 24 hours.
  • Maintain the work area in a safe and healthful condition.
  • Report, and whenever possible correct, unsafe working conditions to branch leadership.
  • Operate vehicles while in the course of employment in a safe and lawful manner.
  • Provide assistance to reduce or eliminate workplace hazards.
  • Comply with company drug testing policies and procedures.
  • Comply with company Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies. OrePac will provide required PPE to employees.
