About The Position

CR&R Incorporated is seeking a motivated and results-driven Territory Account Manager to grow and manage waste and recycling business within an assigned territory. This role is ideal for a sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing new business, and helping customers find effective environmental service solutions. The Territory Account Manager plays a key role in expanding commercial, industrial, and construction-related service opportunities while supporting customers with California SB 1383 compliance and sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • 3+ years of outside sales, account management, or solid waste/recycling industry experience preferred
  • Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Strong customer service mindset and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based environment
  • Comfortable presenting to customers, businesses, and groups

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Environmental Science, Public Administration, or related field OR 3+ years of relevant experience in outside sales, account management, or the solid waste and recycling industry

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities within assigned territory
  • Build and maintain relationships with business owners, property managers, contractors, and decision-makers
  • Conduct onsite visits, site walks, and customer presentations
  • Execute strategic territory plans focused on revenue growth and account development
  • Support construction and tenant improvement (TI) projects with container and service solutions
  • Manage and retain existing customer accounts through service support, upselling, and renewals
  • Coordinate with operations and internal teams to resolve customer service issues
  • Negotiate pricing and customized service solutions
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, account, and activity tracking in Salesforce
  • Provide customers with SB 1383 compliance education and recycling guidance
  • Participate in networking, community, and industry events as needed
