About The Position

The Terre Haute Site HR Leader will build client support skills by guiding people leaders and employees (hourly & salaried). We look to this leader to execute a comprehensive People Strategy, with a focus on the culture of respect for people, continuous improvement, and customer focus while ensuring alignment with the Supply Chain HR Leadership and broader GE Aerospace organization. This role is responsible for 300 client group Leaders, Managers and Employees and one direct report. Provide HR support for approximately on organizational and employee matters, as well as coaching, HR process expertise and other general HR activities. Individuals in this category act as the HR Manager of record for a client group. Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market. Further, Incumbent will hone LEAN skills, build deeper coaching skillset, strengthen talent and organization knowledge, lead engagement and recognition strategies, and will support cultural and lean transformation for the site. Provide dedicated guidance and coaching to multiple managers and employees with specific focus on: employee advocacy/engagement, conflict resolution, HR fundamentals and process training, employee relations management, performance management, career development, talent assessment, acquisition and retention and workplace investigations as appropriate Execute site-specific HR strategies and drive cultural initiatives and transformation across the Terre Haute site, to include LEAN fundamentals Ensure that all employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolved Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, performance management/discipline, procedures and practices at 100% compliance to promote an ethical and compliant work environment Lead key HR processes including Supervisor Training, Staffing Selection Processes and Onboarding, employee development, etc. Assist with other HR special projects or initiatives as needed Maintain and protect confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment, and care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in related area or unrelated area with 4 years of HR experience
  • Minimum 5 years prior professional work experience within Human Resources (can include internships)
  • Ability to work, on occasion, a varied schedule to be available for employees on off-shifts
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be conditioned upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
