About The Position

This is a seasonal position working primarily under the supervision of the Terrain Park Manager, Hand Crew Supervisor, and Hand Crew Leads. The role performs a variety of tasks in a utility capacity, rotating through assignments as directed. The primary responsibility is monitoring and maintaining terrain features in the terrain parks and other designated areas on a scheduled cycle. This role also serves as a guest-facing representative, promoting safety awareness, freestyle terrain etiquette, crowd supervision, and positive guest relations.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in a cold alpine environment on uneven terrain for long periods of time.
  • Must have a valid US Driver’s license.
  • Must be able to communicate with immediate supervisor—oral and written.
  • Must be able to follow all policies as described in the employee handbook.
  • Must be able to ski/ride with tools or equipment.
  • Required to use hand tools such as rakes, shovels, drills, etc.
  • Must be able to be to work on time.

Responsibilities

  • Opening and closing the Terrain Parks daily in accordance with established parameters.
  • Continued maintenance, raking and shoveling of every feature in the Terrain Park.
  • Installing and maintaining park signage, closures, trail markings, fencing, wind blades, and banners.
  • Daily placement of branding with drill and event banners as needed.
  • Assisting in the installation of Terrain Park Features.
  • Riding the parks to be a presence on snow, rain or shine, and acting as a host.
  • Assisting with photo shoots, events, and contests within the terrain parks or any other area.
  • Understanding that job hours may vary and run long, with a focus on weekends, holidays, and events.
  • Implementation and adherence to all risk management, health, and safety protocols.
  • Educating staff and guests on safety items set forth by Copper Mountain, Smart Style, and the Responsibility Code.
  • Providing input on feature ideas, design, and feedback on park performance.
  • Functioning as an ambassador of Copper Mountain, modeling and sharing the Copper “culture” with guests and employees.
  • Upholding a professional image and striving to exceed guest expectations and create memories.
