About The Position

The Terrain Park Groomer Level I is an entry-level grooming position focused on learning and assisting the Terrain Park Manager and Terrain Park Grooming Supervisor in the overall delivery of the Terrain Park, with a primary focus on snow-cat operations. The individual will be responsible for helping to build and maintain the terrain parks and will assist the supervisor and lead with all terrain park grooming needs.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work with hand and power tools.
Must have a valid US Driver’s license.
Has worked two or more years on terrain park day staff.
Performs thorough pre and post operation inspection on snow grooming machines.
Performs cleaning of snowcat for operator.
Sets up and starts groomer for Operator.
Must have strong skiing or snowboarding skills and knowledge of freestyle skiing/riding.
This position may require the use of a mountain radio/walkie-talkies for communication.

Nice To Haves

1 year Terrain Park building experience preferred.
Snowmaking experience preferred.
Google Sketch-up experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs utility-oriented tasks such as starting snow cats and preparing them for operators.
Performs basic front-line grooming.
Creates a finished product that is ready to ride.
Understands fleet grooming and grooming patterns/efficiencies.
Performs removal and reattachment of blade, zaugg, and tiler.
Maintains a clean, neat operator cabin.
Understands and completes necessary logs and paperwork.
Provides exceptional guest service by creating a fun/innovative Terrain Park.
Stays current with industry trends and standards.
Functions as an ambassador of Copper Mountain, modeling and sharing the Copper “culture” with guests and employees.
Upholds the most professional image.
Continually strives to exceed guest expectations and create memories for guests and staff.
