About The Position

Eldora seeks a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is focused on ensuring the future success of Woodward Eldora’s terrain parks. The ideal candidate is an artistic person who enjoys skiing/riding in a terrain park setting and has experience building or designing park features. This position will assist the Terrain Park Manager and Terrain Park Grooming Supervisor in maintaining the existing and fabricating new terrain park features.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid US Driver’s License and complete an MVR check to company standards.
  • Minimum age 18 years old to drive company vehicles
  • Two years of related Terrain Park experience
  • Basic knowledge of power tools
  • Basic carpentry and welding/fabrication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to listen and learn
  • Must be able to lift and carry items up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to work long hours including overnight shifts and weekend/holidays.
  • Must be able to work outside in cold temperatures and adverse weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in welding in outdoor and indoor environments with Arc and MIG welders
  • Assist in cutting with torch, plasma cutter, grinder, band saw, circular saw, and chop saw
  • Repair and maintain park structures/tools/supplies
  • Follow safety procedures and support a clean, organized worksite
  • Grind & wax sliding surfaces of rails, boxes, and jibs to maintain smooth and safe riding surfaces
  • Prep & paint terrain park features using paint sprayers
  • Mask with tape & apply branding/logos to meet visual and branding standards
  • Replace damaged Terrain Park feature panels using plywood and approved materials
  • Perform woodworking repairs using standard woodworking tools (cutting, drilling, sanding, measuring)
  • Operate heavy equipment including skid steers and front-end loaders to move, stage, and position materials/features
  • Repair and refresh branding elements and Terrain Park signage
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE when grinding/painting/working around equipment
  • Learn and follow proper rigging procedures for lifting/moving terrain park features and materials safely
  • Learn and follow designated hot work (welding/cutting) procedures and assist with fire watch to maintain a safe worksite
  • Adheres to all company safety policies and procedures, actively contributing to and reinforcing a safe working environment for self, coworkers, work crews, and guests.
  • Participate in the Sustainable Transportation Program by choosing alternative transportation, carpooling, using the employee shuttle, and avoiding onsite parking on weekends and peak days.
  • Work weekends and holidays as required by resort operations.
