About The Position

The Termite Technician is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a termite control route, maintaining production and utilization standards. This role involves inspecting and diagnosing termite issues, educating customers on prevention, and applying termiticides to structures according to specifications and safety procedures. The technician will also communicate with customers about services, answer questions, and identify opportunities for cross-selling. Key responsibilities include completing documentation, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations, maintaining tools and equipment, and following company incident reporting policies. A high quality assurance and driver score is expected.

Requirements

  • Minimum age of 19 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Clean driving record for vehicle insurability.
  • Complete all required training to obtain and maintain FDACS ID Card Holder.
  • QualityPro Certification within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day operations of termite control route.
  • Maintain production and utilization standards.
  • Inspect, diagnose and discuss the scope of services recommended to the customer based on findings.
  • Provide education about the prevention of termites.
  • Apply termiticides to pre- and post- construction structures according to specifications, safety procedures and label instructions.
  • Communicate with customers regarding services provided, answer any questions they have and look for opportunities to cross-sell additional services.
  • Complete all required production documentation in Pest Pac.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols related to the position including but not limited to wearing all required and OSHA compliant personal protective equipment and respirator.
  • Responsible for maintaining clean and proper working tools.
  • Perform weekly inspections and report any incidents of damage to supervisors.
  • Follow all Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (DACS) regulations related to applications of pesticides, securing product to prevent hazardous exposure to others.
  • Follow all Turner Pest Control incident reporting policy related to vehicle accidents, workplace injury, property damage and hazardous materials accidents.
  • Maintaining an 85% or higher quality assurance and driver score.
