About The Position

HF Sinclair Midstream located in Henderson, CO is seeking a Terminal Supervisor. This position oversees all product movement in and out of the facility. Operations include truck and rail loading/offloading, tank transfers, and pipeline receipts. The role is pivotal in coordinating with the pipeline scheduling and marketing departments, determining work procedures, setting priorities, preparing work schedules, and expediting terminal workflow. The supervisor prioritizes the procurement of materials and equipment, assesses current processes (including evaluating appropriate software), and provides recommendations for automation and efficiencies. They establish, maintain, and document procedures for the department to organize workflow, organize and conduct weekly meetings, and analyze and develop solutions for problems arising within the department. Additionally, the supervisor prepares weekly payroll input, verifies employee calculations, and maintains and verifies attendance and leave allocation for account receivable employees. They act as a liaison between the Terminal and other related departments, as well as with local, state, and federal regulatory authorities, and coordinate training with responding municipal emergency services. The role involves verifying terminal documents for accuracy of calculations, information, and approvals, handling escalated telephone calls, and checking and responding to department electronic mail. The Terminal Supervisor develops reports, isolates potential operational issues, and provides recommendations and ad hoc reports to appropriate management. Special assignments or tasks may be assigned by their supervisor.

Requirements

  • A minimum of seven years of related experience.
  • At least two years of experience in a lead role.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience at the management level.
  • Special training and/or certifications in computer accounting software and hazardous materials.
  • A significant amount of energy industry and supervisory experience.
  • Basic reading and writing skills.
  • Ability to perform basic level mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication.
  • Responsible for the direct supervision of at least four employees.
  • Ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates.
  • Valid State driver’s license and proof of insurance required.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (beards not permitted).
