About The Position

The Terminal Operator provides oversight for day-to-day operations in accordance with operations policies and procedures. The role monitors pipeline and storage equipment, regulates product flow, follows delivery and receipt schedules, completes inspections and records, and supports safe, secure, and orderly facility operations. The operator follows environmental, health, and safety requirements and communicates operational details during shift turnover.

Requirements

Be safety conscious and able to follow OSHA safety standards.
Possess a valid TWIC card and driver's license.
Be at least 18 years of age and legally able to work in the United States.
Have reliable transportation to and from work.
Have a stable work history and good references from past employers.
Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
Speak, read, write, and understand English fluently to communicate and understand job-related instructions and information.
Be capable of occasionally standing, walking, sitting, and reaching with hands and arms.
Be able to occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Have good vision to read documents, observe surroundings, and operate equipment safely and accurately.

Responsibilities

Monitor pipeline equipment, including meters, process flows, cavern levels, and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems, to ensure proper operation.
Regulate product flow through pipelines and storage caverns according to prescribed procedures, standards, and regulations.
Follow safety protocols and observe for abnormal or dangerous situations that could lead to a release or unsafe condition.
Follow scheduling orders and conduct pipeline line-ups for product deliveries and receipts to and from pipelines and storage caverns.
Perform required station, wellhead, and pipeline inspections and maintain records throughout the work schedule.
Follow the Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plan, Local Operations Procedures (LOPs), and site checklists to support facility surveillance, security, and housekeeping.
Validate Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance activities.
Record daily operational details and relay information during shift turnover, including maintenance activities, transfers, and LOTO procedures.
Support facility housekeeping to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Perform work in accordance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures to protect personnel and the environment.
Conduct pre-transfer inspections to confirm equipment and systems are mechanically sound before product transfers.
Wear required protective equipment during operations.
