About The Position

The responsibility of this position is the hands-on operation of the terminal equipment and daily operating functions of the terminal as so directed by terminal management.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED
• 1-3 years of work experience
• Adherence to all safety protocols
• Proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
• Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining terminal buildings and equipment in good condition and operating equipment safely.
• Efficient handling of product in both receiving and shipping.
• Ensuring internal controls providing reasonable assurance of effective and efficient operations, including actions to prevent and detect fraud and protect Company resources.
• Ensuring compliance with internal control procedures - communicating problems in operations, unwarranted deviations from established standards, and violations of policy or law.
• Unloading of barges and or railcars, transferring of the products into proper silos, sampling and testing of products received and shipped.
• Loading bulk unit trucks correctly, providing legal weights and proper product for customer delivery or pick up.
• Troubleshooting terminal equipment failures.
• Performing all other duties and functions required by terminal management associated with the operation of the terminal so long as those duties do not present a hazard or violate any known governmental law.
• Demonstrating a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promoting a culture of safety and exhibiting these behaviors.
