About The Position

The Terminal Operator will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, loading and unloading trucks and rail cars, performing routine equipment checks, and assisting in maintaining a clean and safe terminal environment. This role also involves participating in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, including following established procedures, promoting safe work practices, and actively helping maintain a safe working environment

Nice To Haves

• Previous equipment operating experience (e.g., loader, backhoe, skid steer, etc.) is preferred
• Working knowledge of material handling systems, including pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical components; a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with the Terminal Manager and effectively collaborate with the team

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, skid steers
• Loading and unloading of inbound and outbound trucks and rail cars
• Perform routine equipment checks and report any mechanical or safety concerns promptly
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and operational guidelines to maintain a safe work area
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free terminal environment
• Maintaining and operating facilities and equipment; general maintenance
• Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and ongoing continuous improvement initiatives
