About The Position

Road & Rail Services is seeking a hands-on leader to oversee transloading operations at our Tampa, FL terminal. This is not a desk job-our Terminal Manager will be actively engaged in the daily loading and unloading of commodities, ensuring seamless logistics while working alongside their team in an outdoor, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of intermodal logistics, a commitment to safety, and the ability to lead by example. Our Tampa terminal plays a critical role in the supply chain, facilitating the transfer of ethanol, plastic pellets, food-grade products, and more between railcars, trucks, and specialized equipment. As the Terminal Manager, you'll oversee operations, ensuring that products are handled efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations. You'll work directly with several types of transloading equipment, manage a team of loaders and logistics coordinators, and maintain a high standard of performance in all weather conditions. This role requires someone who is just as comfortable on the ground as they are making strategic decisions. You'll be expected to climb railcars, maneuver around equipment, and problem-solve in real time while maintaining a focus on productivity, quality, and compliance.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of management experience with P&L responsibility.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills in a logistics or industrial setting.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • Flexibility to work weekends or holidays as required by customer needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in transloading, rail, or intermodal logistics is preferred.
  • Hazmat handling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily transloading operations, ensuring safe and efficient handling of all materials.
  • Work alongside your team to physically load and unload railcars while overseeing logistics.
  • Lead, train, and develop employees, instilling a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FRA, DOT, customer, and company regulations.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement improvements as needed.
