About The Position

The Crystal Lake Park District is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Tennis and/or Pickleball Teaching Professional to join their team. This part-time role involves teaching private and group lessons for all ages and abilities, coaching junior development programs and travel teams, and organizing leagues, tournaments, and special events. The position also includes providing racket stringing and grip services, and assisting with club activities. The goal is to create a welcoming, fun, and safe environment for the community.

Requirements

• At least 3 years varsity high school or 2 years college/USTA tournament experience.
• 2+ years of teaching or 4 seasons of coaching experience.
• A natural leader who enjoys connecting with players and families.
• Excellent communication, organization, and people skills.
• Must have or be willing to obtain CPR/AED certification.

Nice To Haves

• USPTA or PTR certification
• College degree
• Experience with club programs, leagues, or events
• Racquet stringing skills

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging private and group tennis lessons for players of all ages and abilities indoor or outdoor.
• Coach junior development programs and travel teams that build confidence, teamwork, and love for the game.
• Organize exciting leagues, tournaments, and special tennis events.
• Provide racket stringing and grip services.
• Lend a hand with club activities as needed.
