About The Position

The Court Maintenance team works on a diverse range of activities involved in the upkeep of the tennis/pickleball courts, including areas surrounding the courts and performs related tasks as required. This role provides a clean, safe, and secure environment within the Tennis/Pickleball courts area, ensuring Members and Guests can feel relaxed and at home. The team maintains courts in a professional manner and ensures that the environment is consistently safe for all those who use the facility. Kenwood Golf and Country Club, since its inception in 1928, has lived up to its mission statement which is to provide and maintain quality facilities, activities and service making kenwood golf & country club the place of choice for recreation, dining and social activities for the members, their family and guests. We have 13 har-tru outdoor courts, 4 hard indoor courts, 2 permanent pickleball courts and 1 hard outdoor court in the racket sports.

Responsibilities

• Maintain courts in a professional manner and ensure that the environment is consistently safe for all those who use the facility
• Complete assigned tasks that range from simple to more complex such as but not limited to: brush and line tennis courts, blowing off sidewalks, pulling weeds, repairing fences, carpentry work, reapply clay, resurface courts, etc
• Prepare the har-tru outdoor courts during the months of March-April for the season, by applying material and nailing down the lines
• Operate, maintain, and clean equipment and power tools in accordance with operating instructions and safety rules
• Always maintain the appropriate levels of tennis/pickleball area amenities
• Maintain all equipment in proper working condition and in compliance with local health codes
• Responsible for seeing that daily assignments are completed in the respective areas, to meet Club standards
