About The Position

The Tennis Facility Technician is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all tennis facilities on the property. This includes daily court maintenance, preparing for events, operating and maintaining equipment like the tennis cart roller and leaf blower, litter control, and various miscellaneous cleaning and repair tasks. The role also requires assisting at pickleball and basketball courts during slower periods or when short-staffed. A key aspect of the role is ensuring all facilities are clean, safe, and in good working order, reporting any issues promptly to the tennis department leadership.

Requirements

  • Must have a current valid driver's license.
  • Knowledgeable with tools used around plumbing and carpentry.
  • Knows how to swim and how to be safe around water.
  • High school diploma or job-related experience preferred.
  • Good communication skills to offer directions to guests.
  • Must be able to lift up to 80lbs.
  • Must be able to have a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Drag needles off clay courts, rake needles and leaves into trash bags.
  • Water courts daily based on weather and temperature.
  • Roll courts.
  • Clean lines on courts.
  • Clean net tapes weekly.
  • Assist in preparing for events and functions at all tennis facilities.
  • Empty trash from courts.
  • Collect and store left/lost items.
  • Clean chairs and benches.
  • Check timers for watering systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the garage.
  • Report mechanical or structural issues with facilities to the Director of Tennis or Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Follow seasonal grooming schedules as directed by the Director of Tennis or Supervisor.
  • Assist at pickleball and basketball courts during slow times, events, or when short-staffed.
  • Check tires and water levels of the tennis cart roller per schedule.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the tennis cart roller and its brushes after use.
  • Keep the leaf blower in good operating condition, clean it often, and use ear protection when operating.
  • Use the proper gas/oil mix for the leaf blower and keep the container filled.
  • Blow, broom, and dustpan walks and parking lots as needed.
  • Keep trash covers and holders clean.
  • Remove trash from cans as needed.
  • Pressure wash walks and hard courts as needed.
  • Hang and clean windscreens as needed.
  • Clean water fountains and coolers.
  • Clean shade structures.
  • Use firepower to address ant hills.
