About The Position
A sealcoating general laborer helps apply a protective coating to asphalt surfaces like driveways and parking lots. This role is physically demanding and typically seasonal, with work often performed in hot outdoor conditions.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods
- Comfortable working in hot weather and outdoors
- Willingness to travel locally to job sites
Nice To Haves
- Valid driver’s license often preferred
- Experience in construction or paving is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare asphalt surfaces before applying sealcoat
- Operate spray equipment, squeegees, and other tools
- Use blowers and brooms to remove debris from surfaces
- Direct traffic or place safety cones and signs when working roadside
- Load and unload equipment and materials from trucks
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
- Assist with crack filling, line striping, or other asphalt maintenance tasks
