About The Position

The Tennis and Pickleball Pro Shop Merchandiser assists the Buyer/Merchandise Manager with all aspects of Pro Shop retail merchandise operations at a private golf and country club. The role supports a positive customer experience by serving members, maintaining the shop’s presentation, and helping manage merchandise and inventory. The position is part-time and requires availability to work at least one weekend day.

Requirements

One to three years of experience in a retail setting; experience focused on pro merchandise is preferred.
Knowledge of court sports apparel and accessories.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and computer skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work well under pressure and think creatively.
Ability to work at least one weekend day.

Nice To Haves

Retail experience focused on pro merchandise.
Relevant retail experience in a court sports setting.

Responsibilities

Build rapport with members and provide excellent customer service, including assistance with retail needs.
Maintain an organized and efficient stockroom.
Keep the shop neat and clean.
Assist in creating visually appealing and organized displays.
Assist with receiving, pricing, and managing inventory through the inventory management system.
Use the point-of-sale system to complete transactions accurately and efficiently.
Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and place orders as needed to ensure product availability.
Assist with monthly inventory counts.
Place, monitor, and follow through on special orders.
Assist with retail promotions using the company website, member email, and social media.
