About The Position

The Tenant Facilities Manager is responsible for maintaining the buildings and grounds of an organization, directing staff, and overseeing the upkeep of equipment and supplies. This role involves planning and coordinating installations and refurbishments, managing equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards, inspecting buildings for repairs, reviewing utility consumption to minimize costs, supervising facilities staff and external contractors, controlling activities like parking, waste disposal, and security, allocating office space, and handling insurance plans and service contracts. The position also requires maintaining financial and non-financial records and performing related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field.
  • 6-8 years’ proven experience as facilities manager or relevant position.
  • Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Good analytical/critical thinking.
  • Must have smart phones that meet Company security standards with the ability to install apps such as Microsoft Authenticator.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments.
  • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.
  • Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
  • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
  • Supervise all staff facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors.
  • Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.
  • Allocate office space according to needs.
  • Handle insurance plans and service contracts.
  • Keep financial and non-financial records.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by management.
