About The Position

Tempur Sealy is seeking a motivated intern for their summer program at the Trinity, NC development center. This internship is designed to provide meaningful project ownership, exposure to senior leadership, and insight into the operations of a global, consumer-focused company. The intern will work on a defined project with real business impact, partnering with experienced leaders for coaching and development. The program offers exposure to various departments including strategy, operations, finance, marketing, HR, legal, and supply chain, culminating in a final presentation to business leaders. The role focuses on accelerating product development and improving processes within the accessories division.

Requirements

Curious, driven students who want to learn fast and contribute meaningfully.
Textile Engineering or Fashion Design background.
Detail-oriented with a strong aesthetic eye.
Must be available for 10-12 weeks during the summer of 2027.
Must be able to work 40 hours per week.

Nice To Haves

Experience with pattern making.
Experience with technical textiles.

Responsibilities

Work on a clearly defined project with real business impact.
Partner with experienced leaders for coaching and investment in growth.
Gain exposure to how strategy, operations, finance, marketing, HR, legal, and supply chain function in a global organization.
Deliver a final presentation and handoff to business leaders.
Shadow the accessories development team across supplier development, brand/merchandising, aesthetic design, and textile specification work.
Support sample management between suppliers and internal teams.
Create an organized system for tracking and logging samples, test data, next steps, and the creation of final product specifications.
Support product fit testing, sizing, and pattern rework.
Create and implement a structured system to track incoming samples (fabric, covers, cores, finished goods), testing submissions, and subsequent actions or disposition.
